Twelfth Night

The Twelve Days of Christmas end today. This is the twelfth night. Not only is this the last night of Christmas, it's the last night of my first year of blogging. I started on January 6, 2005. Blogging is lots of fun. Thinking through an idea thoroughly enough to write about it is a good discipline in thinking. And the writing is a creative activity in a world where creativity is somewhat rare.

As you can see from the picture, I've turned my thoughts forward toward Spring. Sweet peas can be planted very early in the year. (Actually, I planted one batch in the fall before Christmas last year. It works in our climate, but it requires more time fighting slugs.)

Before one can plant sweet peas, one must obtain seed. That's fun to do on twelfth night. Want to try it?
Try Renees Seeds or that great old stand by, Ed Hume.
