Rain Sometimes

Back in the days before down loading was definitely determined to be illegal, I liked to download topical songs. My favorite song, of course, is Brazil. I think I downloaded 23 versions. Each version is different enough to be enjoyable.

Downloading got me to music and artists I would not have found otherwise. That's how I found "Rain Sometimes". I've since purchased the cd, pictured above. I got an mp3 player for Christmas with ten free downloads, so I can check for other great rain songs. And maybe there is a 24th version of Brazil worth having. I'll give this a try this afternoon on my brother's computer. He has a more recent model with high speed internet access. His needs flow into different channels. He wants me to help him find some new half calf suppport hose.

"Rain Sometimes" has a pretty decent philosophy. Here are the lyrics:

Rain sometimes
Money down the drain sometimes
Reason to complain sometimes
That's how it will be
But there'll champagne sometimes
Lobster flown from Maine sometimes
We'll ride the gravy train sometimes
Just you wait and see
We may be stranded in the rain sometimes
Dream our dreams in vain sometimes
Lose more than we gain sometimes
But this I guarantee
Love is not for some times
Love is for all times
For all times For you and me.
Rain Sometimes, by Arthur Hamilton, sung by the great Peggy Lee

What's your favorite Rain song?
