So, Where Is Rocky Creek?

Now, this is really a very minor point. But just where is Rocky Creek? Yesterday's post discusses a couple of deaths at Rocky Creek State Park, south of Depoe Bay. Remember, we went and had a look-see for the cite of the second death, based on a picture in the Depoe Bay Beacon. Anyway, as far as I can determine, Rocky Creek isn't really in Rocky Creek State Park. It comes into the Pacific under the Ben Jones. When the coast highway was rebuilt, this bridge was bypassed. There is no bridge above it on Highway 101. Apparently, Rocky Creek has been carried under 101 and the Ben Jones for many years now. Some time over the summer, we'll take a further look, --unless of course, one of you has a further answer. Anyway, here's Rocky Creek entering the Pacific from under the Ben Jones:
