We discovered there was a big difference in auto rental prices on our recent trip. The least expensive place to rent a car I know of is Salem Oregon. The same car in Portland costs more because of city fees and taxes. In
Las Vegas, when the plane lands, you find the rental agency in the terminal and complete the paper work. Then, that company
shuttles you to their inventory of cars. In San Jose, the airport provides shuttle service to the various agencies outside the terminal. You complete your transaction and then walk to your vehicle. In San Jose, vans rent for considerably less than full size cars. Guess it is the cost of gas...
