I don't exactly remember why I was in Best Buy a month or so ago, but while I was checking out, the guy in front of me was purchasing It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
I asked him if it was like Curb your Enthusiasm. He said it was, only the characters are less redeeming. I've always considered Danny Devito funny, so I thought it would be worth remembering.
Enter Netflix. We only have basic cable which doesn't give you much to watch, unless you are a crazed shopper. I consider an extra $45 a month to bump up poor stewardship, so I added Netflix at only another $15 a month.
I'm happy with the decision because we can rent things like It's Always Sunny.
Much like Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm, this series is filled with the misadventures of flawed characters. It's sort of like watching auto racing for the crash sequences. And we can always say "I'm a bit like that, but I'm glad I never tried..."
