In the Pink

We decided to make yesterday's walk a search for pink dogwood in Salem Oregon's historic Center and Chemeketa Streets area. The lovely dogwoods were there, plus a few other points of interest.

Turning south off Center Street, we came upon this giant evergreen with the most amazing branches. Twice a year, it showers the neighborhood with yellow pollen.
We also came across the home of long time acquaintances with the most charming of yards.
Curbsides abound with plantings. Perhaps that's why 'for sale' signs are almost non existant.
This historic church on 17th Street was turned into a home a decade ago. Since it is on the National Register of Historic Places it has to be open to the public at least once a year.

We found this sentiment in a T Shirt shop on Center Street.

Also on Center, a yard full of dandelion heads gone white and ready to reseed the area.
The sun sets off every flower it touches.
We are happy to share our bounty with you!
