Solving two or more unknowns

This is the first time I have been able to blog from my own home for a long time. I have a new computer, and Windows XP. I had no luck with dial up so went to Qwest. Still no luck. Problem seems to be with Windows XP. It is now 1:15 am Tuesday morning, but at least i am back on line again. Major problems were trying to resolve two unknowns at the same time.
