Sleeping In Church

I confess. Yesterday, I slept in church. I wasn't sleeping during a worship service. I have been known to nod off there, of course. Yesterday, however, was Monday. And it was our turn to work with the interfaith hospitality network. We pulled the overnighter, the sleepover. The United States has homeless, churches have lots of empty space during the week, so it is a good mix. The national organization for this is called Family Promise. Check them out. Maybe this is something you could do in your city. The information on the webpage was confirmed by our experience. Half of the people served are children. So this morning, I have a bit of a hang over. Loss of sleep sort of thing. But worth it.
