An Old Dog Learns a New Trick
So what is a Podcast? That's a good question. I am interested in finding the answer. I find I have the ingredients to make this work. I received an mp3 player for Christmas. The next ingredient is information. This I discover at Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia under Podcasting. Now I need a source. I teach a Bible Class at my church on Wednesday nights. So for the maiden voyage, I download the podcast of lectures on the lessons that will be read in next Sunday's worship services from the Seminary from which I graduated in 1960. The lectures are based on the Hebrew and Greek texts, pretty much overkill for my purposes. I am listening to the lecture on the Old Testament lesson with commentary on the Hebrew text as I type. The broadcast would amuse and befuddle my class, I'm afraid. The information is way over their heads. But there are a few gems there. Will I do this every week? I don't know. But I am happy to learn this new trick. Have any Podcasting stories you would like to share? Add them in the comments section.

You will have to chat with M about this. He loves podcasts and has quite a few that he subscribes to on a weekly basis. http://www.podcastalley.com is a good place to start in discovering the tons that are out there. We download ours through iTunes.
I like them for road trips, could be great for walks too!
