No Escape. I have to lose some weight

Me on the right
My parents were very poor, but when I came along Dad was doing a little better. His brother in law and sister in law had a farm. Uncle O and Aunt O might not have produced much income, but their farm always produced food. (I found out years later that Dad would loved to have gone into farming with Uncle O, but it was not to be. Uncle O died in a farming accident.)
So I have been on the chubby side from the beginning. After coronary surgery I think I took off about 40 pounds. But the weight has been creeping back. There is a very direct message in the Back Pain book from my MD. Obesity is not a good thing. "Remember, the more fat around your waist, the more strain on your back." Back pain is a good motivator.
