The Electric Car

The daughter called this morning as to whether we had an electric car, based on the headline below. No, not yet.

Have you wondered why General Motors, Ford and Chrysler aren't in panic mode racing an electric car to the market place? Well, maybe they are resistant to change. I suspect they are still in bed with the oil industry.

The other day I was wondering where Israel gets its oil, given their willingness to bomb Iran. Such an action would surely be the end of Arab oil, if they were getting any. I did a little research on the Internet and it appears that Israel gets its oil for just about anywhere in the world other than the Arab states. However, should they or we actually bomb Iran, that will be the end of the shipping lines which supply Israel because Iran will surely shut them down in consequence.

Anyway, industry in Israel has gotten the message. They are racing to get an electric car into the market place. We can learn from them.
