A few days ago, I mentioned that I had a picture of a sign which used to stand in front of the Heceta Head light house. Well, I found the picture. It was taken back in 1993. I have a good HP Scanjet 3300C scanner and thought that it would be no trouble to scan it in and put it on the blog. It connects to the computer through an usb port. It is most handy to use the one in the front of the computer, but I use the same convenience for my mp3 players and other devices. The scanner won't work, of course. It has to be reinstalled. I'm sure I worked several eight hour days on it and it still doesn't work. The scanner was designed to work with Windows 98, not xp, and while new drivers are available, they just won't install. I think the problem is in the registry. I called Kinko's and I can use their scanner for thirty cents a minute.
Anyway, while looking through my negatives for 1993, I came across some negatives for which I do not have pictures. They are of Aunt C on the occasion of Uncle L's funeral. A took the pictures and I'm sure she gave them to Aunt C. I had prints made yesterday. Still no scanner, though, so what you see above is a picture of a picture. Not too bad, for spur of the moment
Here's a picture of the picture of that light house sign. Don't know if you can read it or not, but you get the idea.
