The Blue Light Special

A year ago I was having a terrible time with insomnia. I tried the Sleep Disorders Clinic, sleeping pills, biofeedback and various books. Nothing much helped except the light box. That did the trick.



Now days, light boxes are reduced in size to what you see pictured above by GoLite. I got mine at Costco. That, coupled to wearing earbuds and listening to music from the quieter side of life usually gets me the five hours or so I need at night.



By the way, if the shortening days tend to make you depressed, the GoLite is also a big help. Treatments are as simple as can be. Just let the light shine into your eyes at an angle for a half hour to forty-five minutes.
