While driving I-5 can be a challenge now days, the Portland Park system and the Oregon Sympathy make the trip worthwhile. Above, Oregon National Guard members chat with fans while they wait for their moments in the sun. Actually, their moment is in the dark of night when their cannons ring out at the close of the 1812 Overture. Great music and great fun!
Then the night sky fills with fireworks! Wow!
