According to the Statesman Journal, Mike Erickson has loaned his campaign 1.1 million dollars to unseat Darlene Hooley. We know he is a successful business man. We see no signs that he is a philanthropist. We can only conclude that this is an investment on his part which he believes will pay off in the future.
Erickson is getting substantial outside help from the team that mounted the Swift Boat ads against John Kerry. The Economic Freedom Fund run by Karl Rove's friend Bob Perry put up $330.000 for attack ads against Congresswoman Hooley. Don't worry, you will be able to tell them by their vitriolic nature.
Are America's sons, daughters, husbands, wives, fathers in Iraq dying because of the tactics of Bob Perry? It's pretty clear that there would be no Bush victory, hence no Iraq War without Bob Perry. So those killed by Bob Perry number from every state in the Union. Consider that when the media announce the next serviceman death in your state. And determine not to let this man win again!
Oregon voters, let's not let them win at this game. And check into your ballot measures. Don't vote for any ballot measures funded by interests outside Oregon.
