I spent five years on the Concordia Portland campus, graduating from junior college in 1955. Frankly, during the 70's I had given up on the place. At the time they were a tiny outfit, dedicated in preparing pastors and teachers for ministry in the Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod. I didn't think they had much of a future.
How wrong I was! They are currently in the middle of a boom, with a brand new library which is better than most city libraries in Oregon and many other states.
We attended an alumni function there today, and I think their future is very bright indeed.
