Even after installing a new spark plug and fully charging the battery, and yes, gas in the tank, I couldn't get the old
Lawnboy running yesterday. This wonderful old mower is more than twenty years old. It was a gift from our sister in law when she moved into assisted living. Of course, it had its flaws. The gas tank leaked. After unsuccessfully trying lots of ways to fix that, I took to parking it outside and only adding enough gas for one week's mowing. A made a new grass catcher. The
Lawnboy company has been swallowed up by Honda, I believe. I could possibly buy a new gas tank, for $50 plus dollars. Same with grass catcher. However, by time that would be installed, something else would go wrong.
So I gathered together my collection of Home Depot gift cards plus my Home Depot credit card and headed off to the store. I decided to "go green," and buy an electric mower instead another gas model. You see the results in the picture above.
Going green means no more air pollution from gas, no more
dependence on foreign old. No more buying and storing gasoline, no more buying oil to mix with the gasoline.
The next step is to get rid of the green colored
Lawnboy. I ought to have it off my hands by supper time.
