Fair Farewell!

Bob and I have been going to the Oregon State Fair together for years. Of course, we remember the old days, when there was horse racing. Lone Oak track had characteristics of its own and if you were careful, you could at least break even. Our trips changed dramatically after 1995, when he had a stroke which put him in a wheel chair. But we still have a Fair agenda. No trip to the Fair is complete without a couple of hands full of Tillamook Cheese and the Bamix demonstration. Nothing like lots of samples.
Once again this year, the jugglers worth the time. The Taiwan Acrobats were truly amazing. And once again Travis Fox got us asking questions about hypnotism. Bob concludes the Fair with a couple of scones. That's a hold over from the Western Washington Fair in Puyallup, --also part of the good old days. Ah, Labor Day has come and gone, and so has the Fair. But God willing, Bob and I will be back next year. Did you go to the Fair? Was it good for you too?
