The Joy of Serendipity

This afternoon, I took some books back to the West Salem library and went off to look for an America the Beautiful book on the State of Maine. Quite by accident, I spotted this book by Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Bonhoeffer was one of the few German Lutheran pastors who had the courage to stand up against the Nazi's.
He is worthy of the title hero or saint, although I am sure that he would never have applied such a title to himself. He was imprisoned by the Nazi's and died for his faith. I was not aware of this book's existence. Finding this book illustrates serendipity, the joy of finding something wonderful while you are looking for something else. Has it happened to you? If so, please share.
