Mouse Wars: Advantage = Mouse

Cold days, long nights, a spirit of adventure, perhaps, bring mice into our garage and sometimes under the house. So I get to play pioneer trapper and vote them off the Island. This round went to the mouse. Notice that he/she was able to get the bait without getting caught. But tonight, there will be round two....

You might want to try glue traps with a bit of peanut butter. More expensive but it works. Killian would love the job... haven't seen a mice here yet. But I'm sure they have made a nest somewhere in the storage space.

I've had them clean out peanut butter without getting caught, the little devils!

have you used peanut butter with the sticky trap? Is that mouse crap on the mouse trap in the picture? It seems like a mouse's main function is to poop nonstop.

Actually, mouse blood from a previous incident. Victor traps are usually very effective. If they weren't so prone to crap non stop, we might be more tolerant of them.

The squirrel was certainly more fun!

I bought those sonic mouse repellant systems you plug in. They are terrific!!!

We use live traps and release the mice out into the prairie. As irony would have it, the mose effective bait we have right now is cat food. Peanut butter worked pretty good for a while. However I think the remaining uncaught mice got wise to what that smell meant...
