So my directional signals die. And I know it's either the bulbs or the flasher. I check the bulbs are all good.
Must be the flasher. But what does the flasher look like and where is it? Should you ever have this problem, on cars of our vintage, anyway, there are two flashers, one for the signals and the other for the hazard lights. So, now the, question becomes where are they? I unscrewed lots of things, stood on my head, mused a lot a still no finding the directional signal flasher. Then, I think maybe the internet... And sure enough I found someone who knew. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=255377&highlight=flasher

The internet is a wonderful thing. Last year the belt that rotates our dryer broke. A few years ago this would require an expensive service call.
I found an online manual for our dryer that allowed me to identify the part, comparison shop between several different companies that had it, and order it from the safety and comfort of our basement.
I pre-date the internet, but I still kind of wonder what we ever did without it... Library?? Called people?? Wrote letters??
