Free Wood
We thought we had the solution to getting rid of the wood piles we have on the down hill side of the property. After offering the wood to a neighbor who burns wood with no success, we advertised it as free wood on the local supermarket bulletin board. A fellow by the name of Jose' called the first day, but when he learned "free" meant bringing it up 22 steps he said "no problem" and promptly failed to show up.
Our neighborhood association has made another offer: free dumpter space for the week end. Having given up on Jose', I'm navigating the stairs myself. Half gone at this point. By Sunday afternoon, it should all be gone.
